BACKGROUND

Stand Up Eight is a nonprofit program dedicated to empowering adoptive families for immediate and lasting change by providing trauma-informed behavior management intervention in their homes.

Unlike other programs, Stand Up Eight provides behavior management guidance in the adoptive family's home at least twice a month. In addition, Stand Up Eight addresses the needs of the entire family unit, rather than specific individuals only, in order to promote attachment between children and parents and healing from trauma. Stand Up Eight serves as a support to all family members to help them address their deepest needs for connection, and is committed to walking alongside each family as they learn to enrich their relationships with one another.
